This week, I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Opening Gala of the 69th Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The Edinburgh Playhouse team arrived on the red carpet (yes, we actually got to walk down the red carpet) just after Robert Carlyle. He was there to make his directorial debut with The Legend of Barney Thomson, the film which was chosen to open the festival. Once we took out seats inside, he was joined on stage by some of the other stars of the film including Ashley Jenson, before we got to sit back and watch its world premiere.
Once the film was over, we headed to the after party at the National Museum of Scotland for drinks, canapes, music and lots of photo booth fun.
